The Board of Directors of Knowles Centre is pleased to announce the appointment of Rachel Sansregret to the position of CEO.
The Knowles Centre is a community-based, nonprofit social service agency serves children, adolescents, and young adults from across Manitoba and Canada. Ms. Sansregret brings almost two decades of experience dedicated to improving the quality of life for youth and families facing complex trauma, poverty, addiction, and mental health challenges. Her experience includes direct service delivery and community development as well as leadership roles with the Winnipeg Indigenous Friendship Centre and the Winnipeg Indigenous Executive Circle.
Board Chair, Ela Partyka spoke on behalf of the Board stating that "We are thrilled to have Rachel join Knowles Centre as its next CEO. We are confident that under her leadership, Knowles will continue to evolve to better serve the needs of young people in our community with programming that is holistic and centred in Indigenous values."
In acknowledging her appointment and the challenges ahead, Ms. Sansregret spoke of the importance of the work and the need for a collective approach to meeting the needs of the youth Knowles serves. "I have seen the incredible strength or our community members as they rise to address challenges and navigate their own healing journeys. It is an honour to be entrusted with leading The Knowles Centre; I look forward to working with the team at Knowles and the broader community to deliver thoughtful, comprehensive supports to increase the opportunity for all of our youth to heal and thrive." Ms. Sansregret will join the organization on August 4th, 2026.
